This weather cannot be any better. This last month and basically the entire year, we have seen wonderful weather and superb playing conditions. The golf course cannot be in any better shape and my thanks extend to Dan Wollner and Brandon Waddle for the job they have done on the course this year.
It is my pleasure to announce that our very own Gary Babcock has been selected by the Iowa Professional Golfers Association as the Junior Golf Leader for 2009. Gary has certainly done a wonderful job raising the bar for junior golf with a wide variety of programs, clinic, and tournaments. He is very worthy of this award and all members of the LPN should be proud of his special award.
The Links Restaurant continues to be very busy with a wide variety of traffic. Chef Mike Harris and staff encourage all to stop by the Links and enjoy great food and service.
As fall begins, I want to thank everyone for their support and it looks as though 2009 may be our best year yet. It is because of your support that this year has turned out to be one of the best.

The Links Restaurant & Lounge:
The Links Restaurant & Lounge is open to the public. The restaurant offers a relaxed atmosphere and quality of service to our patrons. The menu offers a wide selection of appetizers, soups, salads, sandwiches, buffet specials and dinner entrees that are sure to please any person’s taste buds. The Links offers a full service bar and a number of televisions to watch your favorite sport.
The restaurant also has an award winning sandwich in the State of Iowa. The Pork Tenderloin Sandwich was named 1st Runner Up in the Iowa Pork Producers Association Best Breaded Pork Tenderloin contest.We encourage you to enjoy this fine restaurant at the Resort with family, friends and business associates.

Spikes:
Current hours of operation of Spikes are Monday – Friday from 8:00 AM to Close and Saturday & Sunday from 7:00 AM to Close. Stop in for a cold drink, snacks, sandwiches and much more. Enjoy great views of Lake Panorama from the west deck.Hours are subject to change based on day to day weather.
Spikes can also be rented for private parties or events. If you are interested in hosting an event at Spikes, please give John Dinnebier a call at 800-879-1917
Lake Panorama National Inn & Suites:
Lake Panorama National Inn & Suites offers on site lodging accommodations for your stay at the Resort. The lodging facilities overlook the magnificent golf course and are located within walking distance of the Conference Center and Links Restaurant & Lounge.

The fitness & exercise room currently has ten machines that will help you improve your health and fitness level. You may pay a daily fee to use the fitness room or purchase a membership. Memberships are available for a year, six months, three months, or monthly. Membership categories include single, couple, and family.
Membership information may be obtained by calling 641-755-2080 or by stopping at the lodging desk on the main floor of the Conference Center.
Lake Panorama National Golf Course:
Lake Panorama National Golf Course is the main attraction at the Resort and offers one of the best-conditioned courses in the state of Iowa. In 2008, a double row irrigation system was installed making even better course conditions for players of all skill levels. Golf Digest gives the magnificent golf course a 4-Star Rating on it’s Places to Play in America. The golf course is truly a “must play” course in Iowa.
Lake Panorama National Golf Course is now the host of the Iowa Open Golf Championship. Just recently, the Iowa Section PGA and Brokers International Ltd. signed a five year deal to host the Iowa Open at Lake Panorama. Brokers International Ltd. will be the title sponsor of the championship from 2010 to 2014.
The Brokers International Ltd. Iowa Open will be played August 19 – 22, 2010. The Iowa Section PGA, Brokers International Ltd. and Lake Panorama National Resort are excited to bring the championship back to Lake Panorama National Golf Course.
