Dear Members:Happy New Year!!!! Another year has past and hopefully six weeks from today we will be playing golf. Thanks for all those who supported the LPN in 2008 and we welcome your continued support in 2009.
2008 was a good year for the LPN with many projects started and completed. Because of your generosity Spikes became a reality and the LPA approved a new irrigation system that was completed by early summer. What a beautiful place we have and I am grateful to be here.
The New Year is underway and we are in our final days of our early golf membership sign-up. As I type, only eight days are left to take advantage of the early bird special. Save on your membership dues if paid by January 31st, 2009.
The Links Restaurant and Lounge continues to be a popular place to dine. Check out our January and February specials and mark your calendar for the Links Super Bowl gathering and Valentines Day Dinner special.

Super Bowl XLIII Party at the Links:
Make plans to watch Super Bowl XLIII with us at the Links on Sunday, February 1st, 2009. Kickoff begins at 5:00 PM with doors opening for lunch at 11:00 AM.The Links will be offering up super drink specials along with its super appetizers, sandwiches and more. Pools, drawings and more fun stuff will be going during the game.

2009 Golf Memberships:
Your LPN Staff is preparing for another exciting year and looking forward to serving all of you in 2009. Our facility will host numerous Member events just for you and a number of PGA, Senior PGA TOUR, IGA, IWGA, Collegiate and Iowa High School competitions, corporate and charitable outings. Once again, proving LPN is one of the finest facilities in Iowa and is undeniably the choice for those who value a membership that has so much to offer.
As you know, an active membership relies on the support of its members. Your membership is an investment for LPN’s future and we believe an investment that demands a return. That is why the Staff at LPN is working diligently to ensure your 2009 golf season will be the best one ever!
We encourage you to take advantage of our Early Bird membership rates—pay by January 31, 2009 and save! All payments after January 31, 2009 will be held to the 2009 fee structure. (please notice the advantage of the Early Bird on this year’s application)
Your Staff is once again accepting a limited amount of Special Memberships as part of our 2009 Membership Drive. This Membership applies to those who were not LPN Members in 2008. This is an excellent opportunity for you to invite new members to our community and have them come to the same conclusions that we have—LPN is a great place to be a Member! You will receive a $50 credit for every new membership you sign-up during the membership drive. You will also receive 2 free rounds of golf upon receipt of your 2009 membership application and payment. You may use these rounds to recruit new members.
In addition to the Special Membership, we are continuing the offer of Distance Memberships for 2009. This Membership applies to those who are not LPA Members and do not have a residence within 18 miles of LPN.
Finally, the Staff is again coordinating Reciprocal Agreements with Carroll CC, Ft Dodge CC, Ames CC, Indianola CC, Ankeny CC and Lake Creek CC. We hope you were able to take advantage of this membership benefit and we fully expect to provide this perk again in 2009.

2009 Men’s League:
Lake Panorama National members enjoy the great opportunity to join our Men’s League for 2009. Once again, we will offer three different leagues: Noon League, 3:00 PM League and 6:00 PM League.
Like last year, we hope to have enough teams for 6:00 PM League to use both sides of the golf course. Doing this really helped improve the pace of play and allowed everyone to be up in the Links earlier to enjoy food and drinks.
Please send in your entry form as soon as possible for the golf professional staff to form the leagues. Priority will be given to teams that played in 2008 in case there are more than 36 teams for 3:00 PM or 6:00 PM leagues.
