As the season winds down, I want to thank everyone for their continued support making this another successful year here at the LPN. Despite a late spring and a year of construction, we have had a good year with the Links Restaurant experiencing its finest year yet and golf memberships are at an all time high. Total golf rounds for the year are slightly behind last year as expected due to our late start, but are hopes are to have a nice fall and play will be extended into October or November.
As of today, we will continue to run hours of operation Tuesdays thru Sundays until traffic tells me different. My goal is to continue to run those hours through both the fall and winter months.
We have many events scheduled for fall and the Christmas season is just around the corner. Your support as always is key to our success.

Our new Starter Shack between #1 and #10 is the place to enjoy a cold beverage before or after your round of golf. Enjoy views of the Lake while sitting on the deck overlooking the setting sun.

College Football:
The big game is here!We invite all Iowa Hawkeye and Iowa State Cyclone fans to the Links Restaurant & Lounge on Saturday, September 13 to watch the biggest football game for the state of Iowa.
Kickoff begins at 11:03 AM and the doors will be open at 10:00 AM.
Enjoy ice cold refreshments, great food & service and more while cheering for your favorite team. Enjoy $1.00 Draws and $5.00 pitchers all game long.

Birdhouse Boogie:
Thank You to all the couples that played in the Birdhouse Boogie. We had a wonderful turnout with great weather and stellar scores. A big Thank You goes to Dick & Diane Zapf for all their hard work they do for the tournament. Dick was gracious enough to donate a birdhouse to Junior Golf at Lake Panorama National that ended up raising a couple hundred dollars for the program. Thank You!

Iowa vs Iowa State Couples:
The annual Iowa vs. Iowa State rivalry couples tournament was held a week early under wet and cold conditions. The team spirit was high and so was the competition.
After the scores were posted and the touchdowns and PAT’s added up, the final score for the 2008 Iowa vs. Iowa State couples was a tie at 30 points each.
Let’s hope the game this Saturday is not that close.
