September ? Can you believe that fall is just around the corner and we are beginning to think about Nebraska football. We have had a tremendous year so far during 2007 and I would like to thank everyone for their support.
The Restaurant and Lounge continues to be a popular place to dine and I have had some members ask about the restaurant hours as we move into Fall and Winter. We will remain optimistic and run hours the same as what we are doing today and will adjust according to business activity.
The golf course is holding its own and Dan Wollner and staff are beginning their fall projects. The fairways are being over seeded as I write and we need a break from the heat to get the grass growing and healthy for winter.
September is going to be a busy month and we look forward to your continued support. See you soon and again, thank you.
John Dinnebier
GM/ Director of Golf

Patriot Golf Day:

On September 1, golfers across the country have the unique opportunity to play golf at Lake Panorama National and donate $1 to Wounded Warriors, Inc., which will also benefit the Fallen Heroes Foundation to support families of those who have become disabled or lost their lives in the line of military duty.
All you have to do to support this great program is call us at 641-755-2024 and book your tee time.
The PGA of America and the United States Golf Association are jointly promoting patriot Golf Day. Dan Rooney who is both a PGA Professional and a USGA Member developed this program. He is also a member of the Oklahoma Air National Guard. You may have read in August issue of Golf Digest about how Dan has served two tours flying F-16’s over Iraq and how, being familiar with the devastating losses some families have suffered due to their loved ones’ service to their country, he was determined to find a way to help them through the power of golf.
Dan’s idea for giving back to these families is Patriot Golf Day. On September 1, 2007, golf courses at all types of facilities will ask for a $1 donation on top of every green fee received, or in case of membership facilities, for a donation from every club member who tees off that day. It’s that simple.
The money collected will go to an organization called Wounded Warriors, Inc.
Wounded Warriors, Inc. will also benefit Dan’s own foundation, The Fallen Heroes Foundation. The mission of the Fallen Heroes Foundation will be to award scholarships to children of those who have become severely disabled or lost their lives in military action.
Give Back to Those Who Have Given Everything by reserving a tee time on Patriot Golf Day.
