6th Annual Timber Creek Charities Golf Tournament:
The sixth annual Timber Creek Charities golf tournament will be held Saturday, July 21 at Lake Panorama National Golf Resort and Conference Center.
The cost is $75 per person or $300 per team. Singles are welcome, and will be assigned to a team. The fee includes 18 holes of golf, golf cart, range balls, lunch and dinner. Registration begins at 10:30 a.m., with lunch at 11 a.m., a shotgun start at 12 p.m. and dinner at 5:30 p.m.The tournament will be a four-person, best-shot event.
Team prizes will be awarded in three flights, and several individual prizes will be available. Awards will be presented following dinner.A charity auction also will follow dinner. People interested in attending just the dinner and auction can purchase tickets for $20. Tee box sponsorships also are available for $100.

Timber Creek Therapies is an outpatient facility where people of all ages and with all types of disabilities receive therapy services using innovative tools not found in most therapy centers. It is nestled on 220 acres of native timber on Timber Creek Ranch just east of Guthrie Center. 2007 is the sixth year of offering hippotherapy (equine-assisted physical and speech/language therapies), and the fifth year offering hydrotherapy (warm, moving-water physical therapy).
In addition to the therapies, therapeutic riding and horse-drawn carriage driving are offered.While most of the patients who receive treatment have some expenses covered by insurance, Timber Creek Charities steps in to help children and adults who don't have adequate insurance. It also helps those who can't afford therapeutic services that are not covered by insurance.

Match Play Championship:
The 2007 Match Play Championship is underway. We still have a number of matches that need to be played so others can play. If you do not have your match completed by the end of this week, you will have to withdraw from the tournament. The bracket is posted in the pro shop. The pro shop has added two new lines since the last newsletter and both lines are top notch. At the top of the list is a line of clothing that we have not carried before, Page & Tuttle. Page & Tuttle feature CoolSwing technology and we have a number of polo's and mocks in stock. So far these are some of my favorite shirts, you can feel the wind blow right through the shirt while riding on the golf cart, perfect for these hot humid days in Iowa. The next line is Aureus Elite and Basic collection of golf shirts and mocks. They come in a wide selection of colors and fabrics.Plenty of drivers, 3-woods, hybrids, wedges, and putters are available in the shop just waiting to help improve your golf game. A number of these clubs can be demoed on the course before you buy them.

Junior Golf Camp:
Thank You to all the kids that joined us for the 1st Annual Junior Golf Camp. We had 7 kids that enjoyed golf instruction, cook-out, campfire, smores, movies, gifts, and much more. Gary Babcock and Michael Kleinwolterink had a great time spending the afternoon and morning with the kids.
A big Thank You goes to the Swinging for the Kids organization. They were gracious enough to donate money towards the Junior Golf Camp. The donation helped us to pay for the townhome, food and gifts. Thank You very much.
